Acts is full of surprises. Things are not what they appear to be. Tyrants don’t always win. Jesus appears in unexpected ways. Rules we thought were hard and fast no longer apply. That’s why churches often focus on the Acts of the Apostles during the Season of Easter. Acts makes no promises about trying to prove or explain Jesus’ resurrection. The book does, however, dare us to dream of what the God of Resurrection can do in our world today.
