Thinking About The Future
The First Congregational Church of Branford is important to each member or friend of the church for different reasons and in different ways. There is, however, common ground among all of us. This commonality is perhaps expressed in our church’s Vision Statement: “We are a spiritual home with open doors and welcoming hearts, nurturing faith in one another to serve Christ in our community and world through mission, music, and friendship.”
Not only do we, as Congregationalists, have the opportunity to support our church and all that it stands for with our annual pledges and donations, but we can continue to do so in the future in so many ways. It might be through a simple bequest in your will or making the church the beneficiary of a life insurance policy. It can also be through the creation of a gift annuity where you retain life income, or through the gift of marketable securities or real estate.
Our church has benefited from the generosity of those who have gone before us. Let us, in our turn, help to provide for those to come. Please prayerfully and carefully consider how you might support your church after you are gone. The church will be grateful now, and generations of Congregationalists to come will be, too!
